The Marvelous MacHurdyGurdy Traveling Show began as a simple idea from the minds of the the Dance Troupe Shahrinaz. And as all simple ideas usually do, it became something much much bigger. In performance Shahrinaz sought a way to bring the flare of the Victorian Traveling entertainers and combine it with the creativity and fantasmical nature of Steampunk.
The Story you find here is an extension of those characters created for the show by author Erin Lausten. Here it follows the life and trials of the Family MacHurdyGurdy and their cohorts as they travel from town to town in the Old American West. Intended as a series of short tales, the stories range from humorous and whimsical to dark and bitter sweet.
